Your Questions

Do you whiten teeth?

Yes. We offer a professional teeth whitening system that you can complete in the privacy of your home.

How do I transfer my dental records?

It’s very simple. Just request your records from your former dentist. You can either ask to have them mailed (or preferably emailed if they are able) directly to Dr. Spector, or you can pick them up and bring them to your first appointment.

At what age should my child start receiving dental care?

Dr. Spector recommends that children come in for their first dental visits when they are two-and-a-half to three years old.

What happens if I can’t make my appointment?

If you cannot keep your appointment, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice so that we can give your appointment to another patient. If you do not give us adequate notice of cancellation, you may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Do you accept Dental Insurance?

Our goal as a healthcare professional is to provide the best dental services possible for a reasonable fee and to give you the smile you’ve always dreamed about. As a courtesy to our patients, we will gladly submit your dental insurance claim for you at each dental visit and accept assignment of benefits for any amounts payable by your dental plan. To avoid or limit the billing process and additional expenses, remaining estimated patient liabilities are due at each visit. We highly recommend that you are informed about your dental policy and its plan maximums, provisions, limitations and benefits. The contract for dental benefits and amounts payable by dental insurance companies is a contract between the patient (and employer) and the insurance company. Ultimately, all treatment fees are the responsibility of the patient.

We accept most dental plans, some benefits are better than others. We are a PPO provider for Aetna, Connection Dental, and United Concordia. We are a Premier Provider for Delta Dental and an Indemnity/Traditional Provider for CareFirst Blue Cross / Blue Shield. Sorry, we do not accept any HMO’s or DHMO’s.

We accept cash, check, money order, most bank check cards, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We also work with Chase Health Advance, CitiHealth Card and Care Credit for extended low or no interest financing.

Payment Question

How much do you charge?

The cost of treatment depends on which procedures we perform. We do our best to make it easy for you to achieve the beautiful smile you deserve. We accept cash, personal checks, and most credit cards. Our Laurel office also accepts most major insurance plans. For third-party financing, we work with CareCredit, a trusted institution that offers interest-free financing and flexible monthly payment plans.
